12-12-12 January

One of my many photographer friends asked us to join her in a 12-12-12 journey this year! I have started and dropped out of SO many 365/52 week/30 day photo challenges it isn’t even funny…but THIS seemed do-able AND enjoyable to me so I hope it sticks! No set themes or daily demands…my kind of project!
The idea is to take 12 (at least 12) pictures to post on the 12th day of the month, for 12 months…and BONUS its also the year 2012 
. So I guess it could be 12-12-12-12…but that’s just redundant right? (or in the words of Jake from Two and a Half Men…ReDUMBnant heheh…).
12-12-12 is also an excellent chance for photographers to take a step back from their work and take a lil more time (like we used to before we had taxes and clients and editing!) to capture our daily lives.
Anywho…here is my first post of the year for 12-12-12
JANUARY
Mason is giving me a taste of my own medicine…and Addi…does NOT want to cooperate …
SO..I found a more willing participant for a bit…Our puppers Harper checkin out the new addition…still very much in progress.
Caught this lovely sunset just outside of our new sliding glass door on the addition…
Taking their pictures suddenly became a game, here both the kiddos are playing peek-a-boo/hide-n-seek behind the LOVELY tarp that keeps heat in our living room now that the wall is gone separating us from the new addition..
Took a break to feed our “barn” cats (the “barn” part is just a saying…since we no longer have a barn…)…Panda baby is SERIOUS about his food…
For those who don’t know one of my other hobbies/trades is crocheting/knitting. Here is a bit of the hand spun/hand dyed yarn I got from http://www.ilashdesigns.net and a final project. This was my first time knitting with hand spun and I LOVED it!
And then it was time for dinner…mmmmm pizza!
The next day my kids were cracking me up with their silly antics. They were jumping up and down on Masons bed (which does NOT allow much head clearance!) and making silly faces and tackling each other…
the tackling part…
A bit of role reversal happened…Addi BEGGED me to take her picture, while Mason hid from the camera…
It’s safe to say we had a very fun evening 
.
SO, just realized my copyright info still says 2011…hehe it’s on my list ok? Can’t wait to do February’s 12-12-12 as it’s Addi’s 3rd Birthday! Princess Party here we come!

the shots of your kids are so fun! they remind me a lot of my 2 kids. I love the hat!
Looks like the kids are having fun wrestling on the bed. They have gotten so big since I saw them!

A few things: your puppy & kiddos are so cute!, your pizza made me totally hungry, and I want a hat big enough for me like the one on here! LOL
